Epson workers visit orphans

Employees of Epson Philippines Corporation (EPC) recently visited the Precious Heritage Children’s Home for an afternoon of smiles and cheers with the children in the facility.

Precious Heritage Children’s Home is a grassroots ministry that provides housing, food, clothing, medical care, and education to the orphaned, abandoned, malnourished, and neglected children in the Philippines.
It is an accredited Social Welfare and Development Agency (SWDA) registered at the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

Aside from donating food supplies and other gifts, Epson employees organized a party for the children with a magic show. Moreover, to help the children’s home manage their office supplies cost, Epson gave Precious Heritage an Epson genuine ink tank system printer – the printer with the world’s lowest printing cost.

“The welfare of disadvantaged children is an advocacy close to our hearts,” explained Beth Alcantara, Epson Philippines Head for Human Resources and Administration. “I am especially proud of the outpouring of support from our employees for this activity – clearly, this is a testament of how Epson will always be sensitive to the needs of the communities where it operates,” added Alcantara.

Since 2000, Epson Philippines Corporation has been actively undertaking Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives that focus on the environment, support for disadvantaged children, education, and health.
