Photo Release: AFP provides C-130 plane to transport giant clams to Bohol


Troops from the Philippine Air Force unload boxes of giant clam breeders from their M35 Trucks at the San Fernando Airport in La Union. These giant clams or “Taklobos” as they are locally called will be transported via the AFP’s C-130 aircraft to a Marine Protected Area in Tagbilaran, Bohol.
 
 
 
 
 

 
The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) has provided its military transport aircraft, the Air Force’s C-130, to transport 100 giant clam breeders from San Fernando Airport, La Union, to Tagbilaran Bohol, on May 19, 2013. This is in line with the AFP’s efforts to support and assist the Provincial Government of Bohol in its venture to save the environment and promote biodiversity in the area.
