Creativity Contest Press Release

Sec. Herminio Coloma, Jr., Head, Presidential Communications
Operations Office (PCOO) with Mr. William Guido, President and
CEO of Globaltronics, Inc., during the signing of the Memorandum
of Agreement and Endorsement by PCOO of Globaltronics’ 1st
National Digital Arts Awards > Fast Forward Pilipinas!

FAST FORWARD PILIPINAS!
Creativity Contest to Leapfrog Wealth Creation for the Nation

A New Learning Revolution
The 1st National Digital Arts Awards (NDAA) Fast Forward Pilipinas! was launched November last year as a national contest to recognize young digital artists and spur the growth of the digital art industry in the Philippines.
With the rise of the digital art industry, more young people will become economically empowered to support their families. In the course of the contest, Globaltronics through its President and CEO, Mr. William Guido, the lead presenter of the contest thought of synergizing efforts of the academe, particularly those offering digital art in their schools to train public high school students. In this manner, public high school students or even out-of-school youth would learn digital art as a means to rise above poverty to “fast forward” their lives.
From the original concept, Globaltronics introduces a new dimension to the contest. This time, Globaltronics with its co-presenters will synergize with the academe, training professionals, software providers, hardware suppliers, the advertising industry and government to engage disadvantaged youth to fast forward their lives by capacitating them with high value skills to help themselves and their families.
Success in Social Media
The 1st National Digital Arts Awards >>> Fast Forward Pilipinas! has had as of press time, 1600 likes, 1,500 contest mechanics and entry form downloads,  some 100,000 people visit the Globaltronics Facebook page and over 1,000,000 people have been reached by its social media efforts. With the recent success of the contest in social media – Globaltronics intends to farm out to key contest themes to corporate partners. Cebuana Lhuillier is considering becoming part of the Pinoy Pride Profiles, other themes are Filipino Culture, places of interest or organizations, Filipino cuisine and Filipino products.
Mr. Ricky Alegre, Chairman, Ad Board, Director Ten Mariano,
Head of New Media, PCOO, Ms. Tin Carreon, CRM Director,
Globaltronics and Mr. Nato Agbayani, COO, Globaltronics. The
NDAA seeks to recognize young digital artists nationwide
and is co-presented with the Ad Board and the Outdoor
Advertising Association of the Philippines (OAAP) together
with corporate and advocacy partners.

Special K-12 Category
With the need to create a larger and younger base of digital artists, visionary leader Mr. William Guido has come up with a special contest category in the 12 and under segment. Students who are below 12 years old can submit a one-minute video or an A3 sized poster design. This category hopes to start a digital art culture among the young and train them to be the best in Asia. In time - five to ten years from now, Globaltronics sees the leapfrogging of the Philippines into capturing a sizeable amount of outsourcing of animation, gaming and digital art. It can be noted that it took 10 years to transform Taiwan into the semi-conductors center of Asia, the entire public and private sector synergized to make this a reality. Since creativity is most significant asset of Filipinos, Globaltronics believes that through the NDAA, the seeds can be planted now which the country can reap in the coming years.
