We in the FOI Youth Initiative (FYI) are extremely
dismayed by the failure of our elected Representatives to fulfill their
responsibility to attend the sessions of the House. Electoral concerns should
never get in the way of their duty to pass relevant legislation like the
Freedom of Information Bill. When students skip classes, we miss out on the
opportunity to learn. However, when legislators skip sessions, they shirk on
their mandate to serve. No to further delays! Pass FOI now!
