UNPRECEDENTED AIR PASSENGERS BILL OF RIGHT -  Transportation Secretary Mar Roxas (right) discusses (from left) DTI Undersecretary Zeny Maglaya, Samar Rep. Mel Senen Sarmiento, DOTC Undersecretary Jose Perpetuo Lotilla, and DTI Secretary Gregorio Domingo the provisions of the Air Passengers Bill of Rights after conducting the second public hearing on the proposed measure last Friday (20 July 2012).  The Air Passengers Bill of Rights seeks to provide protection for airline passengers from cases of forced flight cancellations and bump offs, misleading promo fares, and others. After getting the comments and suggestions from air travel stakeholders and the public, Roxas said he expects the bill of rights to be final by end of August.
