THREE NEW
EXECUTIVES APPOINTED TO
BOOST
DOTC’S DRIVE TOWARDS REFORMS

Philippines – The Department of Transportation and Communications today
announced the appointment of three executives to fill in management roles in

The three
executives were Atty. Jaime Raphael C. Feliciano as DOTC Assistant Secretary
for Planning, Engr. Ronaldo Franco Corpuz, and Atty. Al Parreno as new Board
Members at the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board.
Transport
Secretary Manuel Araneta Roxas II continues to create a solid management team to integrate
the Department, infuse new blood, and proactively resolve the myriad policy and
operational problems in the various agencies under it.
“I have
high respect with these executives who have proven their competence and
integrity in their respective fields,” Roxas said. “They will play crucial
roles in line with the good governance platform of our President.”
Atty.
Feliciano has been instrumental in structuring and obtaining NEDA approval of
key DOTC projects, including the 60B LRT Line 1 Cavite Extension Project; the
P5.5B Puerto Princesa Airport Project, and the DOTC Road IT Infrastructure
Project.
Prior to
joining DOTC, he spent several years practicing private law, representing and
providing counsel to various local, foreign and multinational clients in the
country and overseas in the fields of litigation and arbitration, and Corporate
Law.
Engr.
Corpuz spent more than two decades at NEDA, starting as Research Engineer to
OIC Assistant Director of NEDA Infrastructure Staff. He was most recently the
director of Project Development Service at PPP Center.

Atty.
Parreno is a consultant for the Asia Foundation and the USAID for Human Rights
Law, and a Certified Speaker in the Mandatory Continuing Legal Education on
Information Technology Processes.
Engr.
Corpuz and Atty. Parreno’s appointments to assume LTFRB executive board member
posts were already under review and process in the Office of the President even
before Manuel Iway resigned as board member due to the recent LTFRB decision to
revive the 489 franchises of the defunct Pantranco bus company.
