A Fact-finding Mission will be held in San Narciso, Quezon, on July 17-19 by Save Bondoc Peninsula Movement (SBPM) to be led by families of slain NPA members to investigate the June 30 incident of alleged encounter between the Philippine Army and communist guerillas.
Initial accounts of the local residents gathered by the SBPM Quick Response Team include 27 Killed In Action. They are composed not only of NPA members but non-combatant civilians as well. There were also reports that seven houses were burned that killed a child inside.
The results of the fact finding mission will aid in giving justice to families through filing cases at the Commission of Human Rights and further investigation of their cases.
